About BTC FAQ
BTC FAQ exists for one reason: Bitcoin is genuinely hard to learn, and most introductions are either too technical, too salesy, or both.
What this site is
- A free, plain-language FAQ about Bitcoin: how it works, how wallets and keys work, how to buy and send bitcoin, what fees mean, how to avoid common scams, and how mining and Lightning fit in.
- A static, fast site with no account and no paywall, using Google Analytics (GA4) to understand aggregate traffic — see the Privacy Policy.
- Editable through Decap CMS, so answers can be corrected and expanded without rebuilding the site by hand.
What this site is not
- Not financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. Nothing here tells you whether to buy, sell, or hold bitcoin, and nothing here predicts a price.
- Not a wallet, exchange, or payment service. It does not hold your money or your keys.
- Not affiliated with Bitcoin itself — Bitcoin has no company, CEO, or official support team. Anyone claiming to be “Bitcoin support” and asking for your seed phrase is a scammer.
How it is maintained
Answers are written in plain language and checked against how Bitcoin actually works, not against marketing claims. Because software, fees, and services change, answers are dated in the CMS and should be re-checked before you act on them — especially anything about a specific wallet, exchange, or service, which may have changed its terms, fees, or availability.
If you spot an error, the FAQ is built to be corrected: each answer is a separate, editable entry.
Support
If the site helped you, you can support it with a donation. Bitcoin payments will be added later via BTCPay Server; no payment link is live yet.
